Day Two of the 2026 ABA Summer Summit kept the focus on practical solutions to the issues shaping motorcoach operations — from safety, workforce, and compliance to insurance, security, and fleet performance.
A highlight of the day was a visit from Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Administrator Derek Barrs, who brought the federal safety and regulatory perspective directly into the conversation with operators.
Attendees also heard from Primla N. Allen, TSA Regional Operations Director, who highlighted a range of no-cost security resources available to motorcoach companies, including preparedness exercises, cybersecurity training and vulnerability assessments. It was a strong reminder that operators don’t have to build every security program from scratch — valuable tools and expertise are already available.
That combination of direct access, practical resources, and candid industry discussion is what the Summer Summit is all about.
The Summit concludes today with off-site, hands-on learning at Anderson Coach & Travel and Campbell Bus Lines/Campbell Tours.
