Pouring rain couldn’t stop us: We scored tickets for the White House Garden Tour. Twice a year the President and First Lady open their backyard and a happy few ticket holders can tour the amazing White House grounds. So close to the Oval Office and the President’s Beast - his official limousine - you will never get again. Sandra & Frank from Bonn were in awe! A true DC adventure.

World class contemporary art just got a new home in the nation’s capital. The fantastic Rubell Museum in Southwest DC opened after a decade in the making. Mera and Don Rubell, two of the most influential art collectors of our time, transformed the former Randall Junior High School into an exciting exhibition space. It’s their long-awaited second location - the original Rubell Museum is in Miami - and a must-see for every art enthusiast.

Great Best-Of-DC Tour with Norbert Totschnig, Austria’s Secretary of Agriculture. And of course our first stop was at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Farmers Market. The freshest fruits and vegetables on the National Mall. My personal perk: Manner Schnitten directly from Austria❤️🤍❤️

Washington,DC is a great place for street art. And the ultimate insider for all things graffiti and murals is Jason Bowers. We toured the NoMa and Union Market neighborhood with him and had a blast.
Jason knows every artist personally. He also founded a street art festival in DC.
Perfect way to spend a sunny but cold morning in the city.

Alma Woodsey Thomas used her unique
strokes of color to define beauty. And beauty she saw all around her.
Great show of the beloved Washington, DC artist at The Phillips Collection. Alma W. Thomas was the first African American woman to receive a solo exhibition at Whitney Museum of American Art. She was an art teacher in a segregated DC school for 35 years. When the Obamas hung a Thomas painting in their White House dining room they inspired a renaissance of the artist and her work.

A new stunning rooftop bar is coming to DC: Ciel Social Club at the AC Hotel Washington DC Convention Center. I had a sneak peek before the grand opening next week & absolutely loved it!
Checked out the funky Moxy Washington, DC Downtown and the brand new Courtyard Washington, DC/Dupont Circle.
Great fun hotels for your stay in DC.
