Do kids need tickets? Yes! New this year, all ages can participate. Some have asked about our rules, which state that all participants must be a "legally-licensed fisherman" by the state of Wisconsin. We will correct and change the wording next year, but since youths 15 and under don't need licenses to fish in Wisconsin, they are still "legal." Bottom line: all ages on the boat need a ticket. If you're fishing a charter, the captain and mate must also have tickets. It's always been that way. Each ticket is also a bonus raffle ticket for a $3,500 9.9 kicker motor!
Also, YES you can purchase tickets for others in your party. Here's what we need from you: fill out their address and put your initials on the signature line, then have them sign with their full signature when you give them their copy. The angler named MUST sign the ticket before fishing the tournament and weighing a fish. There are two 24/7 options for buying tickets in the middle of the night (plus Greystone Castle is a bar and restaurant so that's open til bar time), Algoma BP at the corner of Hwys. 42 and 54, and JP Express along Hwy. 42 north of Carlsville.
There are NO ONLINE SALES. This is a hyper-local event designed to benefit local businesses, and fishing is allowed in Door and Kewaunee County, Wisc. waters ONLY. We appreciate all the comments from those of you who have been messaging, emailing or calling with questions, and appreciate every single one of you who love to fish the K/D!
