Island Radio Bash is TOMORROW, Saturday August 23rd!!! 🎸

One of the talented performers who will be entertaining you tomorrow evening is the one & only Genevieve Hayward! 🤩

Familiar with the island as well as one of its biggest fans, strong vocals don’t even begin to describe what you’ll be getting from this firecracker of an entertainer. The girl knows how to sing AND how to party, which is why she fits right in. 😎

A very special place here on Washington Island, Gathering Ground is a 38 acre working & teaching farm that blends agriculture & conservation. 🌳

Consisting of diverse fruit & nut orchards and vineyards, this Washington Island organization promotes biodiversity, offers community composting, & supports local farms through their Farmers’ Market. 🍅

They also host educational programs like Ground School, have workshops & events for people of all ages, and their grounds are open for walking tours & picnics! 😄

Have you heard? On Saturday, August 23rd from 4-10pm, Island Radio is throwing a party! Well, a “bash” to be more exact. 🥳

With 6 live bands/performers, great food, a silent auction & more, this bash is sure to be a blast! Seriously, check out this lineup! 🤩

And it’s for a good cause—Island Radio is working on upgrading their radio storage plan so they can provide even more music for listeners. 🥰

You can help them out by showing up to the TPAC, listening to some fantastic live music, buying some merch & making a small (or large 😉) donation—$20 is suggested, but anything helps!

If you’ve been there, you understand us all too well. If you haven’t been there, believe us, it lives up to the hype! 😎

Why exactly is this beach the most popular swim, beach & picnic area on Washington Island? It’s partially, if not primarily due to its unique white, polished, limestone rocks, which are for admiring but NOT for taking! (PLEASE do not take any rocks—not cool.)

Just another reason why Washington Island is one of the most magical places in Door County. (Nay we say, the world!) 😉

Dad jokes aside, Island Pizza is not only in walking distance from the dock, it’s basically in crawling distance. Seriously. And you would totally crawl there—the pizza is that good. 🍕🤤

Who’s all going to the Washington Island fireworks tonight? 🙌

Sponsored by the Washington Island Fire Department, fireworks start tonight at dusk at the Washington Island Ball Park.

In addition, the children's parade will take place along from Legion Hall to the ball park at around 7:00pm. All children are welcome! Especially children who are decked out in patriotic garb & showing their Fourth of July Spirit! 🇺🇸
