Talkeetna River Boat Launch Advisory

The main Talkeetna River channel has shifted, reducing water levels at the Talkeetna Landing boat launch and limiting access to the main river. Due to this natural change and this year's low snowpack, water levels are unusually low, further impacting access.

⚠️ Important Notice for Boaters:

Launching from Talkeetna Landing may not be safe or possible at this time. Alternative boat launches include Susitna Landing and Deshka Landing.

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game is actively working to restore access by dredging the area and exploring both short- and long-term solutions.
