We've been having some pretty grey days lately 😏Has it's own beauty, but it gets kind of old... especially when there's no snow 👎So it was a treat today when the sun popped out and the trees looked like they were on fire👍

🚨 MASSIVE EVACUATION IN ALASKA 🚨

The Alaska Air & Army National Guard and U.S. Coast Guard are leading what may be the largest airlift in state history after the remnants of Typhoon Halong brought record storm surge to remote coastal villages. 🌊

✈️ Nearly 300 people were flown out Wednesday aboard a C-17 Globemaster III from the Air National Guard’s 176th Wing to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage.
🏚️ Around 1,500 residents are now in makeshift shelters — most of which are full.
🌾 The hardest-hit villages, Kipnuk and Kwigillingok, home to about 1,000 Alaska Native residents, have seen devastating damage and difficult rescue conditions.

Crews continue working around the clock to evacuate and support those affected. 💛
