This was Ray's brain after his traumatic brain injury.

Most of you know the injuries were severe, and we were told to prepare for the worst.

But that overachiever kept fighting.

When people say they had “no idea” how serious things were, this is what they did not see.

The fear.
The decisions.
The trauma.
The long road that comes after survival.
Living in pencil.

He is still here. And I will never stop being grateful for that. I won't lie! Some days, he can be more than I can handle. At least he prepared me over the last 20 years, so I had some experience with our special Ray of Sunshine!

With all the immigration issues, it looks as if the EU is stepping up and checking the borders now.

Attention U.S. citizens! Starting October 12, the European Union is rolling out a new automated Entry/Exit System (EES). U.S. citizens traveling to most European countries should expect new automated border checks and to have their biodata digitally collected upon arrival and departure. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

To all my US friends traveling by airplane, starting May 7th you need a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or identification card, or an acceptable alternative such as a passport, to board domestic flights or enter certain federal facilities.

For children under 18 traveling with a companion on domestic flights, identification is not required.

The REAL ID Act establishes minimum security standards for license issuance and production and prohibits federal agencies from accepting for certain purposes driver’s licenses and identification cards from states not meeting the Act’s minimum standards.
