The pilots are going to position in hopes that the wind dies down and can do a glow at eight or shortly after. If they cannot do a glow because of the wind, they will do a field of fire. This is where the baskets will line the field and the pilots hit the burners and shoot flames into the air.

Beautiful photo from Bradford Paulson of Mukwonago! Today we have a lot of fun events going on. The pilot meet-and-greet will be at 3pm. Balloons will not be on site until that time. Balloons will begin to inflate around 6:30ish. Please plan accordingly. We do not guarantee any balloon launch. Weather is reviewed with the pilots, and a decision is made. While it may appear "safe" on the ground level for a launch, they also have to review wind speeds, cloud ceilings, visibility, and other factors at multiple levels. Please be kind to our pilots and volunteers as all decisions are made with the safety of spectators and the crew in mind.

We have food vendors, drinks, AND crafter vendors today starting at 1pm. The helicopter candy drop is at 3 and 4 for the two different age groups. Live music from 2-5 by Sweet N Sour Duo.

The balloons will not be launching tonight (Friday). The glow is still as planned.

On Saturday (July 18), we will have a pilot meet-and-greet at 3pm. Pilots and balloons will not be on site until 3pm. If you want to meet the pilots and ask questions, that is the time to do so. The pilots will then have a briefing with members of the FAA between 5 and 6 pm. If a launch were to happen, it would be at 6pm. Please plan accordingly. A night glow would start around 8-8:30pm.
📍We do not guarantee a balloon launch. The pilots meet with FAA personnel to review the weather and ensure a launch can be conducted safely. Please be kind to the pilots and volunteers, as all decisions are made with safety as the first priority.
