It started at a young age, hearing the stories of the places my mother had been with girlfriends before her and my father married. From Hawaii to Mexico, Europe and beyond, she painted the most gorgeous pictures in my mind and filled my heart with a sense of wonder. Vacations grew to be a priority in my family’s life growing up. Quite frankly, I think it was put in my parents wedding vows. From little on, our family, would take a vacation yearly to spend time with one another, connect and see a part of the world. Every trip, I have taken, has changed my way of thinking and shifted me into the person I am today. That is why, I still strive, through the chaos of a full time career and life with 6 kids to set time aside for travel. There is no better gift you can give.
