What’s the difference? Epic Universe is great and all, but these two original Universal Orlando Resort theme parks are the cornerstones of this resort! If you had to choose only one, that would be a shame, but here’s what you need to know to make a quick decision:

Universal Studios is movie sets, shows, and rides that are exciting and overall has a backstage feel

Islands of Adventure is a collection of immersive lands with BIG thrills.

This pavilion is what World Showcase was meant to be. The Morocco pavilion in EPCOT is really very underrated. It’s the only pavilion that the country itself was in charge of building...and it honestly shows. Hand laid tile and craftsmanship that just oozes authenticity.

While Guardians, Remy and Test Track are thrilling, trust me when I say these quiet, thoughtful spaces in World Showcase are perfect for capturing stunning photos and making memories. Plus, you can meet Aladdin and Jasmine here!

Know anyone that would do this on a cruise? Hook’s Barbery (a nod to Captain Hook) on the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure offers premium services like trims, shaves, facials or just relaxing in style. It even has a “secret” bar to enjoy an Old Fashioned or cocktail while getting pampered.

On this day in Disney history, both Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Pluto made their debuts...only years apart. It wasn’t until Walt was cheated of the license for Oswald that Mickey Mouse (and his friends) were born.

As of 2006, Oswald is back in the Disney family now, but a meet and greet is only available at Disneyland Resort.

Not all coasters are built to terrify. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad might generate screams, but don’t be fooled, it’s Disney’s version of the wild west! The speed and dips are just enough to thrill, making it perfect for anyone easing into coasters. A few tips:

Ride at night for a whole different experience

Maybe save lunch for AFTER the ride

Be sure to remove your hats and glasses, because "this here is wildest ride in the wilderness!"

With guests staking their claim on Main Street, USA an hour+ prior to the show or lining up 90 minutes prior to Fantasmic, sometimes you just want to have a secure place to park your body and grab some food without the pressure of losing your spot. Cue the EPCOT Fireworks Dining Packages at Rose & Crown and Spice Road Table. You’ll not only have a fantastic meal but a great view of the new Luminous Nighttime Show. If you live for spooky season, have I got the place for you. Universal’s Epic Universe has a year-round land that’s like a Halloween Horror Nights-lite! Dark Universe, the portal devoted to all things monsters and macabre, has all the creepy atmosphere without the jump scares and outright gore. It’s just scary enough and ideal for anyone that:

Is “dying to” go to Halloween Horror Nights, but can’t travel in the fall.

Loves the twisted/macabre, but are traveling with littles

Wants that “scary but not terrifying” experience

Think foggy pathways, disturbing visuals, creepy characters and classic monster stories woven into the attractions and dining spots.

Spoiler alert: there are no burgers to be found in this galaxy. If you’re craving a burger while walking through Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll find out fast that there’s not a single one to be had. This isn’t your typical theme park fare, the food in Batuu REALLY compliments the storytelling. This is good news if you’re an adventurous eater. Some things to try are:
