When the temps dip below zero, a great day on the ice comes down to preparation. Here are a few tried-and-true tips to help you stay warm, safe, and fishing longer:

🧥 Dress in Layers
Start with moisture-wicking base layers, add insulating mid-layers, and finish with a windproof, waterproof outer layer. Cotton is a no-go—once it’s wet, it stays cold.

🧦 Protect Your Extremities
Warm boots rated for extreme cold, wool socks (bring an extra pair!), insulated gloves, and a good hat or balaclava make all the difference.
