Here are a few fun facts about the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta:
🎈 It started with just 13 balloons!
The very first Balloon Fiesta took place in 1972 in a shopping mall parking lot. Today, it has grown into the largest ballooning event in the world!
🎈 The “Albuquerque Box” is a balloonist’s dream!
Special wind patterns in the area can allow pilots to fly in different directions at different altitudes, sometimes helping them return toward the launch area.
🎈 And it’s considered the most photographed event in the world!
With colorful balloons filling the New Mexico sky, it’s not hard to see why.

Tomorrow morning, I am planning a balloon flight in the Waukesha area.

This will be the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, to me its an important day. I remember that morning like it was yesterday.

If you would like to help crew or just come out to watch, everyone is welcome. The weather forecast looks to be perfect and for now, it looks like the launch spot will be in the south side of Waukesha, we are meeting at 5:45am at our balloonport on Walter Way. Launch around 6:30 am

In 2004 I had the honor to tether for President Bush and was presented with an American Flag that flew over the White House. I will be carrying that flag below my basket and plan to fly over Waukesha.

Let's remind Waukesha and the world what we will never forget.

We are participating in the Village of Big Bend National Night Out at Lions Park tonight. We will be there at 5 pm and the plan is to give tether rides. If you have ever wanted to help crew or just check us out, tonight is the night. We can use some help. Contact me if you have any questions.

Tonight!! A fun hot air balloon event and an evening filled with balloons, family fun, and a little bit of magic! ✨

Downtown Manitowoc will be illuminating its riverfront this Friday, when it hosts its annual Lakeshore Balloon Glow from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
