The RV–12 is easy to underestimate. It’s so tiny, so disproportionate, so cartoonish, that it appears to have sprung to life not from engineering blueprints, but from the fanciful pages of a Dr. Seuss book. A toy like this could be made by Fisher-Price.

The RV-12 will not be available to rent for another 2 weeks even though Spring City has opened their rental fleet for use.

There are 2 reasons the RV-12 will NOT be on the schedule:

1) We are developing an RV-12 specific disinfecting protocol - unlike a legacy airplane where the disinfectant spray can be liberally applied everywhere the RV-12 with its modern electronics is not a candidate for sq**rt and pray application of disinfectant. Additionally the glass on the electronic screens needs special micro-fiber cloths to be used for cleaning and disinfecting to prevent damage to the screens. When that protocol has been completed, it will be available by video for all RV-12 renters, students, and instructors.

2) The Surgeon General has recommended that for at least another week Americans refrain from even going to the grocery store. While I personally have doubts about the necessity of all the CCP-19 precautions until such time as there is evidence to the contrary I will follow the most conservative guidelines. Flying the RV-12 is certainly less critical the grocery shopping.

Our newest Sport Pilot . . . from St John's Northwestern Military Academy .... Cadet Captain William Tuttle. William is the Commander of Delta Company in the 135th Corps of Cadets. He is shown pictured with his instructor, retired Army National Guard pilot, Jimmy Szajkovics.

C/CPT Tuttle has an appointment to the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY and will be leaving us soon to join the long grey line.

SAY GEN MITCHELL AIRPORT IS VULNERABLE

Waukesha, WI. Jan 8, 2019 – Terra Vigilis Security Group, LLC. Today reports that all major airports could face the same type of shutdown as Heathrow and Gatwick Airports in London. In fact, many airports and other facilities, both public and private, are vulnerable to drone incursions which could cause serious threats to infrastructure, but more importantly, to human life.

To this end, Terra Vigilis has partnered with WhiteFox Defense, a California based company that has developed a means to suppress the intrusion potential of rogue drones. Luke Fox, Founder and CEO of WhiteFox (www.whitefoxdefense.com) said: "Today's incident at Heathrow highlights the pressing need for better protection of our skies. Steps must be taken to secure airspace, particularly over critical infrastructure such as airports. We must mitigate drone threats while still enabling 'good drones' to operate. Drones have untold potential to benefit society, but progress has been limited due to a few bad actors. Current solutions, including the technology WhiteFox has developed, can mitigate both malicious and careless threats without deployment of human intervention, while we can enhance technologies with companies like Terra Vigilis, who provide advanced threat analysis. The Gatwick incident was preventable. We encourage governments, and any organization which may be vulnerable to this type of disruption, to explore the solutions available to secure their airspace and protect their people."

We need to protect our airspace and infrastructure from rogue drones, this technology should be implemented immediately in order to prevent unlawful drone incursions and provide law enforcement the information needed to arrest and prosecute the individuals responsible for threatening us through the unlawful use of drones.
