We launched our Hwy 49 adventure for this weekend after an incredible lunch at Elk Grove's newest creative farm-to-fork spot, The Waffle Experience. Just take a gander at these plates... and yes, there's a waffle under all that yum on each one! We also visited Elk Grove's vaunted rain garden and its burgeoning community garden, as one of our journalists often covers gardens. Then we hit the road toward Angel's Camp... stay tuned for our next stop!
