The fresh air is back!! Take advantage and hit the South River tomorrow for some paddle boarding sessions!🌊🚣

SUP the South Sunday Mini SUP Sessions are back!"

We're so excited for all the rain that has hit the area, it's allowing us to bring back a couple weeks of SUP the South Sundays in Waynesboro, starting this Sunday, July 19th!

Each mini SUP session is about an hour, you get a board, paddle, life jacket, and a quick mini SUP lesson from our skilled instructor, then you are free to paddle around for the next hour exploring the banks of the South at Rife Park, located across the bridge near the Waynesboro YMCA

We've added this year, 3 Family Time Slots as well (kids not required) that allows for a little bit of extra time before and after to help the little ones get ready and on the river for a fun hour of paddling, swimming, jumping, and water blasters!

Each session can accommodate 4 paddlers, ride-a-long kids must ride with a adult paddler, no kids allowed during non-family slots.

Each session is $30 for adults with kids, or $20 for adults only.

*Age minimum is 4 years old up to 11.

You can book your session online at our website.
We highly recommend booking in advance because SUP the south sessions often book up. Families must book in advance, walk-ups are welcome if slots are available.

Family Time Slots (Families not required - 4 adults, 4 ride along kids - Age minimum 4 years old)
- 9:30 - 10:45 am
- 11:00 - 12:15 pm
- 4:30 - 5:30 pm (late afternoon)

12 & UP ONLY
- 12:45 - 1:45 pm
- 2:00 - 3:00 pm
- 3:15 - 4:15 pm

In the market for some local produce? All puns aside, did you know Waynesboro has TWO farmers markets every week through September??
🫛The OG: Waynesboro Farmers Market- VA Saturdays from 9am - 1pm at the Constitution Park Pavilion at the old Advance lot (IYKYK) through the end of October.
🍓New to the game: Craft Sublime Artisan Fair Harvest Market Wednesdays from 4pm - 7pm at The Foundry at Basic City Beer Co (INSIDE!!!!) through the end of September for those mid-week produce needs.

As a bonus this week, the Project GROWS Mobile Market will be at the Waynesboro Public Library this Saturday, July 18 from 12pm - 2pm. (In seemingly related news, the Library is also having Tomato Fest with Central Shenandoah Valley Master Gardeners tomorrow, July 16 from 6pm - 7:30 pm🍅)

Come on down to City Information Day at the Waynesboro Farmers Market- VA! You can spin the wheel and answer some Waynesboro trivia for a prize at our booth then visit the Police Department, Fire Department, Office on Youth, and the Waynesboro Public Library! The Virginia Museum of Natural History Mobile Museum Experience is also open!

Happy 4th of July for the 250th celebration! We hope everyone has an awesome and cool (literally, it is so hot right now) holiday weekend🇺🇸 The Visitors Center will be closed tomorrow, but you can find all the info you need at VisitWaynesboro.com.

As for what Waynesboro is doing for the semiquincentennial… you can keep the party going a little longer and celebrate next Saturday on July 11 at the GloW Drone Show in Constitution Park! Stay tuned for more deets🎇🚫🚁✨✅
