Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with an evening of history, community, and hometown pride at America’s Big Birthday: Tales on the Trail on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Carmichaels Elementary Walking Trail.

This free family-friendly event invites guests of all ages to experience 250 years of Greene County stories through 19 student-led heritage stations, live music by the American Legion Band, interactive activities for children, commemorative keepsakes, and a patriotic community sing-along finale. Food trucks will also be on site with refreshments and festival favorites available for purchase throughout the evening.
