Memorial Day weekend at the lake means 1st Siren Farmer’s Market of the year, the magic of dragon flies hatching (so many!!), loon, eagle, muskrat and pileated woodpecker spotting, kayak stand building, pontoon ride and paddle boarding, lake and fireside cribbage playing, sunsets, and of course new family memories with a few chores in the mix 😉 Also mother nature’s lemons (ice heaves) turning into lemonade (we now have a “beach”!) Grateful for such a beautiful getaway!

So fun to check out some of the local gems at Taste of Siren tonight! We (and our guests 😊) already knew we loved Block and Cleaver Artisan Meats and Burnett Dairy Grantsburg Stores, but so fun to find some new local faves, Nuthouse Breads (cannolis!) and Square One Foods (Beerologist Pizza!). Can’t wait to try more 😋Also discovered some delicious spicy hummus from Water Street Deli and Grocery out of Eau Claire. Yum!

Ahhhh relaxing by our freshly tuned up fireplace is a fabulous way to wrap up a weekend of Fall clean-up sprinkled in with visits from our animal friends (swans, eagles, and apparently now a beaver 🦫 too?!?!) Nothing like the peace of that Up North feeling!
