Lakes Golf Course Community Request

We are asking for the community’s help with something that means a lot to our course family.

At the start of Hole 1, there were several golf balls placed in honor of our previous course manager and longtime groundskeeper, Russ May. Some were signed by friends, family, and golfers, and a few had Russ’ face printed on them.

Since the start of this year, those golf balls have gone missing. The picture is the area where these golf balls were resting.

We are not looking to get anyone in trouble. We simply want to have them returned so Russ can continue to be honored in the place that meant so much to him and to so many of us.

If you, or someone you know, may have picked up any of these golf balls, we would greatly appreciate their return. They can be returned discreetly to the course, no questions asked.

The golf balls with Russ’ face printed on them are especially meaningful to us.

Thank you for helping us preserve this small but important tribute to Russ. Your help is truly appreciated.

Randy Olson will be conducting golf clinics soon.

Please contact him at 605-376-8517 or email him at [email protected]. The cost is just $20 for a 2 hour clinic which covers chipping pitching putting and range instruction.

Students ages 12-18 are free.

Due to the predicted low temps and rain chances, the pro shop will be closed on Monday, April 27. If you have your own cart, please be mindful of wet spots on the course throughout the day.

👀Just a quick reminder for everyone enjoying the course this summer!

We’ve received a few complaints about dog waste bags being left in the trash containers on the tee boxes. Please take those with you and dispose of them in your personal trash at home — we appreciate everyone doing their part to keep the course clean.

Also, a reminder that dogs are not allowed on the course.

Happy Birthday to our amazing Pro Shop Manager, Brooke! 🎉⛳

Brooke works incredibly hard to keep the Pro Shop at The Lakes running smoothly and looking its best every single day. From staying organized to creating a clean and welcoming space for our golfers and guests, she does so much behind the scenes to help make everything come together.
