There are some places where you take a picture and know it will never quite capture what it actually felt like standing there. This was definitely one of them.

-because nothing says romance quite like two teenagers, feuding families and some seriously questionable decision-making.
But drama aside, Verona is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful piazzas, charming streets, amazing architecture…and just enough Romeo & Juliet ❤️

Milan doesn’t always make the “must-do” list when people dream about Italy… but I think it deserves a little more credit.
And one of Milan’s biggest perks? It’s the perfect gateway to Lake Como and the beautiful lakes of Northern Italy. 🚤🏔️

Would I build an entire Italy trip around Milan? Probably not. 😉
Would I absolutely give it a day or two on the way to Como? Yes!

Today was all about the Ligurian Coast!

Started in Genoa, where of course we had to have pesto in the place that does it best. Then on to beautiful Rapallo, followed by a boat ride to Portofino — because arriving by boat just feels a little more Italian. 😉

Colorful buildings, sparkling water, amazing food and those views… Northern Italy continues to show off.

And yes, I consider eating pesto in Genoa important travel research. 😂🇮🇹
