Very good day.on the water. I have never had two big fish bite so close together. Like 30 seconds apart. The truely amazing thing was Dave did have the big fish in the boat for the day when Mindy caught hers. Which put her in the lead fir about 30 seconds. Then Dave caught one that was 2.5 inches bigger than hers. It was a fun day with plenty of nice fish for the limit. Call us at 605-680-1910 to book a fishing trip. Boys came home yesterday from the Memorial Day weekend and the question was asked to their mom "When is Jim going to take us fishing?" At 9:30 we put the plan in place to go fishing today. We caught a lot of fish today plus these delicious keepers. Guess what's for supper for the boys. Glad we made it out as I am not sure when we could have made it work later in the summer. These boys from Nebraska were done with school for the year at 1:00 yesterday and were on the road to start their summer vacation, with a fishing trip. Today was a little chilly with a slow start, but when the weather warmed up a bit the boys and fish became active. They get to do it again tomorrow. SMALLIES ARE HITTING!!! The group from the Worthington, MN area are taking home some fish for the wall. Slocum's Taxidermy will get the opportunities to mount the trophies for the wall. Unfortunately, we were unable to get the HUGE MONSTER SMALLMOUTHS into the boat!! Oh the walleye was 29 7/8, caught while he was resting from casting for the bass!! WE HAVE OPENINGS AND GUIDES WHO WOULD LOVE TO TAKE YOU ON A FISHING ADVENTURE. Plus fishing is going to continue to get better as the weather stabilizes and warms. Smallmouth fishing was fantastic!! Walleye fishing in the afternoon was fantastic!! Joel and Darrel had a blast. Wasn't able to Crack the 20 inch mark on the Smallmouth. 19 1/4 was the biggest. Maybe next time. We have guides available for the upcoming weeks. Fishing should keep getting better as the weather stabilizes and water temps continue to rise and stay warm.
