Had this group from Ohio for three days. It was warm but it was three incredible days of upland hunting. We got done early on day one for pheasants and decided to go after Sharptails and Prairie Chickens for some fun. Man was it a blast. Upland bird numbers across the board are up and it's providing some great opportunities (pass shooting grouse, for example). Plus the walleyes are biting!! Not enough time in the day to do it all. I have openings in November: 5,6,7, 15 thru 20, and 30th to the first weekend of December open. Call 605-680-1910 to line up an outdoor adventure of your choosing.

Opening weekend was a success.. Had 3 returning clients and they brought up two newbies to South Dakota pheasant hunting. They had a blast. Dogs worked well, both days. Few times we were in strips that had really good numbers of birds and the dogs got a little excited and got a little too far out. Teddy who is going on 13 actually hunted hard, flushed birds even retrieved a bird yesterday and today. Ripkin, Teddy and Kaz's pup from March did two strips by himself and did very, very well.

Kaz and Teddy have been very busy the last day or so. I will take Kaz into the vet in 30 days to have an ultrasound done to get an idea of how many puppies will be on the way. Due date will be around December 1st if the breeding is successful. Puppies from this litter will be ready to go to their new forever homes around January 12, 2027.
