My 1988 Mako 201 has a new Yamaha 200hp outboard, new controller and cables, new hydraulic steering system, new key switch and new gauges. I just brought it home from Pro-Marine where everything was installed. Soon I will be plying the inland and nearshore waters of the Bradenton area. ✌️ ❤️ 😊

I saw this in the West Marine parking lot. It looks like a car but it’s a boat. I like it but I couldn’t fish out of it and it’s the size of a wave runner. I want something bigger that can handle rough water and fish the flats.

I had planned to fish Tampa Bay near the mouth of Terra Ceia Bay for tarpon but thunderstorms were moving that way so I fished in Terra Ceia Bay, Miguel Bay, Champlain Bayou and Clambar bayou. Trout and snook were biting well. I was using live pilchards on #1 or 1/0 Owner Mutu Light Circle Hooks.

After the rain stopped yesterday the lake rose about a foot overnight and slightly more today.
I tried casting alongside docks with a white spinnerbait as close as I could to the encapsulated foam dock flotation. The payoff was a fat 37” hard fighting musky. I haven’t tried any bass fishing the last couple of days but the musky fishing has been great I caught this fat 42” musky off a dock using a Mylar skirt bucktail. If I weren’t getting so many strikes and follows I would try bass fishing. I’m seeing a surface water temp at the helm of 70 - 72. The weather this weekend is supposed to be nice. Last week it seemed like all the fish on the lake decided to bite. Then the weather changed and possibly followed by many Memorial Day plans. During the breaks from the rain everyone tried to get their lake time in. Friday was nice but the musky I encountered just pretended to want to bite. After the rain Saturday I had a lot of lookers but no takers and I had no encounters Sunday. Memorial Day was too windy and rainy. Lake Pomme de Terre rose two feet but it has leveled off. I have a feeling that Tuesday is going to be a good day. Stillwater Resort at Lake Pomme de Terre - Wheatland, MO
