Referendum In Process!
Two members of our group have stepped up to start a referendum that could halt the board from pursuing any further actions regarding STR for a limited timeframe.

Kevin and Carol Hanus are allowing members to sign the petition when you are up to the lake @ 1940 N. Ogemaw Tr. . Monday-Friday 4-6 pm. Weekends 10am - 8pm

Please spread the word and make sure to stop by and sign.

August Board Meeting will be held this Saturday, August 17th at 9AM at the clubhouse.

Todays LOSRA meeting update:

In regards to the Proposal to "have our attorney draft by-law change language to prohibit Short Term Rentals".

This topic has been tabled for the time being.
Although this could be brought up at future meetings, it has temporarily stopped the board from pursuing any further action or proposing bylaw changes against STR's on LO. ⭐️

Another update was given about our legal counsel
And how STR's and Summer Dorf are one.
SD would not be grandfathered in if we pass any bylaws prohibiting STR's.

There were a few stories shared from this past week on one STR still allowing guests to use the gate and launch private boats. Those guests were also behaving recklessly while boating and on jet skis. The sheriff did get involved. Please let's get the word out that we must follow the boards new rules to keep the peace and follow lake rules to ensure everyone's safety.

We will still be meeting on Sunday night at 7pm for discussion if you'd like to join us. Have a great weekend all! ☀️🛥️🙌🏻
