Listen I love a cruise, but if I have to pick my Disney experiences I’m picking the parks every time.
So many people swear once you cruise Disney you’ll never want to vacation any other way but for my family that’s just not the case.
When we go to Walt Disney World we expect to wait in lines for character experiences and rides. I don’t want to wait in lines like that on a ship.
We LOVE the hustle and bustle of a park day, but on a ship we want to relax. The pools on the Disney Wish felt crowded and had to be cleared every 50 minutes which was disappointing.
We missed the variety of dining that we find at Disney Parks (and other cruise lines).
As a cocktail lover, I was underwhelmed by the onboard cocktail menus, and lamenting that we had not been able to purchase a drink package to try cocktails we weren’t sure we’d like.
I will say the Disney Wish is gorgeous. I wish I had had more time to explore and see all of the art but I think our next Disney adventure will be back to the parks!

It’s so hard to believe that our first Disney cruise, and cruise as a family, was officially one year ago 😭 I was so sad that Disney decided not to come back to New York City and will be the first one to celebrate if they return!
We loved our 🎃Halloween on the High Seas🎃 experience and I am so ready to sail on the Wish next year to celebrate some really special things.

To celebrate Disney’s Wilderness Lodge’s 30th anniversary I figured I’d share this quick room video I took back in December.
We booked a resort view room and wound up on the top floor overlooking the pool. We loved our little balcony.
The room is filled with so many details and characters hidden in the wallpaper? I know it’s quick but do you spot any?
I also love how spacious this room felt. The bathroom was huge (though please ignore my swimwear hanging. We played at the pool until check in!)
