March 15 Update - All Trails Are Closed until further notice.
The Good - We were blessed with a perfect day for our end of season BBQ. Thanks to everyone for joining us in making this season a memorable one.
The Bad - We will not give up hope that Mother Nature will turn down the temps and surprise us. What else can we say 😢.
The Really Bad - even today riders were caught with cans on their sleds (not at our BBQ). In the Lake Raponda area. Lest we say get rid of the cans. Even I (who shall remain nameless) had to tell his teenage son to get rid of it (before the season) It's downright rude and noisy to the ever getting smaller Valley that we live in.

March 14 Update
The Good - BBQ Tomorrow is ON! 11am-3pm. Sitzmark Intersection. WM15. Dress for the Beach.
The No Good - The amount of lost snow base is astonishing. The future forecast will force us to shut down many trails after tomorrow.
The Groom - Charlie and Lenny are grooming tonight. Thank you Boys.

LET'S GET READY TO... BBQ!!

Ok Stump Jumpers, let's do it again, this Saturday March 15th 2025.

Intersection of 100A and 100F3 (WM15) by the Sitzmark from 11:30 am to 3 pm.

There is still plenty of snow base on the trails, and with temps near 50° forecasted, we cannot pass up the oppurtunity to celebrate St. Patricks Day on the trails. BONUS! Anyone with a green snowmobile eats for FREE!!!

For those of you travelling by car to check in on us, that's the field across the street from the entrance to Boyd Farm, off of East Dover Road in Wilmington.

We will have hot dogs, burgers, chips, cookies and suprise treats (whatever else Michael and Terry want to get out of their kitchen cabinets).

So clear your schedule, fill up the tanks with gas and oil, and come celebrate what a fantastic season we've had. See you there!

March 6th Update -
The Bad - The recent rain and warm temps don't scare us yet. Trails are holding up well as we have quite the base to play with.
After fixing Charlies groomer, Lenny blew a secondary hydraulic pump to shut him down for the past week. Part was ordered ($1500) and installed today so we should be back to our regular Friday grooming schedule.
The Good - Cold temps tonight through the weekend will keep our trails in great condition! No bad sections to report so get out there and ride baby ride!
The Needs - We are losing our club Secratary and one of our directors next month. Anyone that is interested in helping the club should reach out. We don't bite and we really need some new blood.
The Fun - Team DVSJ won Trivia Night Monday at TC's. Join us this Monday 730 pm to try to hold our crown. Ride the Horace Hill trail (Crosstown Trail To Mt Snow Clubhouse) down to TC's to join us.

Beautiful scenery and no traffic on the commute to work this morning! Huge thanks to Deerfield Valley Stump Jumpers, their staff & volunteers, and all the landowners for providing such a great snowmobile trail system here in the Deerfield Valley.

February 28 Update
The Good - 6 inches of fresh powder hit our area early Thursday. Trails are perfect. Groomers will be out Friday and Saturday night.
The Bad - The groomer roulette wheel continued this past week. One day after having both groomers serviced Charlie's groomer #2 blew a coolant hose. You might have seen it parked in Mt Snow golf course parking lot. The outcome is we fixed it 2 days later. All good.
The Latest - Cold Temps this weekend will keep the trails firm. Warmer days will set in midweek but the nights will stay cold. Enjoy the last day of February and see you all on the trails!

Feb 20 Update
The Fix is in - Tuesday Dennis from the Piston Bully teamed with Lenny to sort out an array of issues with both our groomers. Charlies machine needed a few adjustments to keep him running straight. Lenny's machine was finally diagnosed with a nearly fully detached drive sprocket. This sprocket that attaches to the planetary gearbox was missing 10 of its 15 bolts. Thank the Trail Gods for not losing a track deep in the woods. And Thank You Matt for helping to reinstall sprocket and track.
Never 2 Much - Wednesday night was go time with 2 sets of crews going in 2 different directions. Lenny and Matt went North w Drag out to Somerset. Charlie and Max went South to Chimney Hill and beyond to track pack, knock down crossing berms and outright cut as many in the way trees as possible. There are still some large hangers that will need to be dealt with in the next few days.
The Good - Its all Good riding in Southern VT.
The Better - Both Groomers and Drags will be out this Friday and Saturday night for your riding pleasure.
The Best - Thank you to all our riders that are carrying valid paperwork both in Permissions and TMA's (Trail Maintenance Assessment). Doing so will keep our trails open for years to come.
