Meet Grady, our 2026 Xanterra Video Contest Grand Prize Winner!

For Grady, a summer living and working in Glacier National Park has been a chance to explore the park, meet people from around the world, and try something completely new. He’s hiked dozens of miles, made more beds than he can count, met lifelong friends, and called Glacier home for a season he says has been the most influential of his life.

His advice for anyone considering a season with Xanterra is simple: “Do it. Bring the camera. Love the place. Love the people.”

Meet Krystal, our third and final 2026 Xanterra Video Contest finalist!

For years, she dreamed of leaving her hometown and seeing more of the world, and this season in Yellowstone gave her the chance to do just that. This summer, she’s hiked miles of trails, seen incredible sights, made new friends, and grown in ways she never expected.

“It’s been my dream for so long to get up out of my hometown and to travel. Every single day, I am so grateful to wake up and know that I am surrounded by beauty, wildlife, and that I’m following my dreams.”

Our next finalist for the 2026 Video Contest: Walker!

For Walker, living and working in Yellowstone has meant “freedom from the traditional path” and the opportunity to explore the park in a way almost nobody else can. “Access to extreme nature takes the prize as my favorite aspect of working with Xanterra.”

For anyone considering a season with Xanterra, Walker’s advice is to “come in with an open mind and treat joining the company as a fresh start.”

Meet the first of our three finalists, Romel'o!

After a year of working and traveling around the world, Romel'o returned to the U.S. looking for a new opportunity that would let him keep exploring. He found it at Grand Canyon Hotel & Suites in Tusayan, Arizona, where employee housing has connected him with coworkers from Spain, Thailand, Ecuador, and beyond, while giving him the chance to practice his Spanish skills more this summer than he ever did in school. Check out his video for a look at his experience of living and working near the Grand Canyon.
