🌍❤️ Travel can take us around the world—but what if it could also help make the world a little better?

Today is International Day of Charity, and it has me thinking about one of the reasons I love working with one of my favorite travel suppliers, G Adventures.

G Adventures has always believed that travel can be a force for good. Through their partnership with the nonprofit Planeterra, their trips support local communities, small businesses, women, youth, and social enterprises in the destinations travelers visit.

One of the things I especially appreciate is that giving back isn't simply an optional add-on. It's built into the way they travel. Their community tourism model helps keep tourism dollars within local communities, while travelers get a more meaningful, authentic experience. Their Ripple Score even shows how much of a trip's spending stays within local communities.

And I love that idea.

Because when we travel, we're not just visiting a destination. We're becoming temporary guests in someone's home. Why not make our visit a positive one? ❤️

So on International Day of Charity, I'm celebrating companies like G Adventures that remind us that we don't always have to choose between seeing the world and doing good in it.

✈️ Hot take: You don’t need a travel partner who has the exact same passport stamp collection as you… but they DO need to understand the obsession. 😂

If your idea of a good relationship includes:
🌎 “Where should we go next?” conversations
✈️ Checking flight prices for fun
🍝 Planning trips around food
🧳 Always having a suitcase mostly packed
📸 Taking the scenic route because “we might never be here again”

…then we might have found your people. 😉

But seriously, travel compatibility matters. You don’t have to love every destination your partner loves—but you should be willing to make room for each other’s adventures.

POV: I REALLLLLY want to plan a group trip to Slovenia, but others don't seem as interested!

Ljubljana is Slovenia's charming little capital, and it feels like one of Europe's best-kept secrets. Think colorful buildings, a fairytale castle, a river running through the center of town, incredible food, and easy access to some seriously spectacular scenery.

And here's the bonus: you can combine Ljubljana with Lake Bled, Slovenia's Julian Alps, and even a visit to the famous Postojna Cave.

It's beautiful, walkable, different—and doesn't require a European mega-city itinerary.

💕 Happy 21st Birthday to my beautiful twin nieces! 🥂✨

Twenty-one years ago, two incredible little girls came into our lives—and I honestly don't think any of us knew just how many adventures were ahead of us!

Some of my favorite memories have been made through our “Adventures with Aunt Jill.” ✈️🌎 From exploring new places to trying new things, laughing until our stomachs hurt, and creating stories we'll tell for years to come, you two have been such a special part of my love for travel.

You didn't just come along on my adventures—you helped grow my love for seeing the world. ❤️ And getting to experience it alongside you has been one of the greatest gifts.

Now you're officially 21! 🥂 And while I hope you celebrate this milestone in a BIG way, I hope even more that you never stop being curious, adventurous, and willing to see what's around the next corner.

There are so many places left to explore, memories left to make, and adventures waiting for us. And I hope there will always be a little room in your suitcase for Adventures with Aunt Jill. 🧳❤️
