Captain Mark Malamphy, owner/operator of Finatic Sportfishing Charters has been fishing the waters and Mid Atlantic off Ocean City, Maryland for 20 years. Captain Mark is a licensed, Master Captain, with the USCG. Mark's oldest son Brandon is the 1st mate. The FINATIC is a 43' Viking Convertible. The boat is equipped with twin 575 HP Caterpillar diesel engines. State of the art electronics: Furuno and Simrad. Rods and reels are custom tuna rods with PENN/AVET/SHIMANO 2 speed big game reels. Captain Mark targets white Marlin, blue marlin, yellow fin tuna, blue fin tuna, big eye tuna, wahoo, mako sharks, thresher sharks and dolphin out in the Baltimore, Poorman's and Washington Canyons. The FINATIC is conveniently kept at the Ocean City Fishing Center Slip B-18.

We have Sunday September 27th available for an 8 hour inshore trip. We will target Mahi on the pots then switch over to trolling for wahoo. $2250.00 for the boat or $375 per person plus tip to mate.
Note: We are increasing our posted trip pricing due to the cost of marina diesel. Currently we are at $6.40 a gallon.

Took our 4 yr old granddaughter on a quick trip yesterday before she starts Pre-K on Monday. Circle hooks, Albie baits and big orange bobbers were used a mile out from the Ocean City inlet. We fished for 2.5 hours saw 4 sharks swimming to the chum basket and released a small hammerhead and dusky shark. Made sure to remove both hooks so those little guys can continue to eat and grow bigger.

We fished all 3 days of the PGO. Each day we kept grinding hoping for that BIG bite. We fished the same area/line from start to finish. We had a big wahoo bite on Day 2 and yesterday during Day 3 @ 2:50 pm we found a big bluefin but unfortunately things didn’t turn out the way we wanted. Looking forward to next year and hopefully we can get 3 teams for both the Tuna & Tiaras and the PGO.
