Christian Louboutin didn’t set out to build a hotel. He fell in love with a village first.
Thirteen winters designing collections in Melides later, Vermelho was born. His personal antiques, his signature red, his eye for maximalist detail, poured into thirteen rooms that feel more like a friend’s house than a hotel.
Xtian serves Alentejo on a plate. The gardens, by Louis Benech, do the rest.
This is what obsession looks like when it has excellent taste.

Fellow travelers . Beware !
We purchased 2 luggage bundles through Nobl and have had a bad experience. We ordered prior to our Europe vacation and when checking out, they notified that it would be shipped in 3-4 days. Our orders arrived 18 days after we ordered and when we arrived home we requested to return one of the orders. They declined us saying that we needed to request a return within 5 days of delivery.
The box had not been opened and they still would not respond to our request to return. Finally, they sent me a shipping label and I returned back to them and confirmed that they received 2 weeks ago. I still have not been credited for my order. At this point, I have not heard any communication from Nobl Nobl.
I would not recommend working with this company based on our experience.

Gstaad has nothing to prove, and neither does The Alpina.
No logos, no noise, just timber that’s earned its patina, stone walls holding centuries of quiet, and windows framing the kind of view that stops conversations mid-sentence. Days disappear on the slopes. Nights disappear into Harry’s Bar, dim, wood-paneled, the kind of place where the bartender remembers your order before you do.
Some places try hard. The Alpina Gstaad doesn’t have to.
