We are getting a lot of questions about tags. Yes, all hunters must have an appropriate license for the species they will hunt. Yes, as of 2020, each hunter must obtain his or her own hunting licenses from the state of Montana. The Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks web site provides detailed information on seasons, licensing, bonus points and special permits by hunting district. You can also contact MT FWP by phone (406) 444-2950.
