The Imperial Villa of Anzio was a sumptuous residence overlooking the sea which enjoyed its heyday during Emperor Nero's time. It housed pavilions, baths, gardens, fountains, terraces, and was the hub for theatrical performances, dances and music.💃Today you can admire its remains including the calidarium, or go to the beach to see the so-called "Grotte di Nerone" (Nero's Caves) which are vaulted spaces underneath the ancient baths.

With its maze of spiral alleys and tunnels, the shape of Rotondella makes it truly one of a kind. 🌀 Sometime between spring and summer, a unique phenomenon makes it even more fascinating: it is called Lupa di mare, a thick fog that adds a touch of mystery to this small Lucanian village. This singular show takes place at night and is dissolved with the first light of the sun.

May is said to be the month of mothers and roses. To celebrate this day, take a trip to one of the many rose gardens in Italy, such as the one in the park of the Villa Reale in Monza or in the municipal garden in Rome. Relax time, the scent of flowers, colours and sharing a day together will make for unforgettable moments.🌹 Best wishes to all mothers!

Between May and July, the Castelluccio di Norcia plateau begins to burst with colours from all the wildflowers.
The yellows of the mustard flower, blue-violet of cornflowers, red of poppies, and the white of the camomile flower all make an appearance during this time. These wild species are left to grow alongside the only cultivated crop of this plateau: the lentil plant. All the other plants and flowers are left to grow by farmers to preserve the fields without pesticides.

Passion, favorable climate, suitable terroir: these are some of the elements that make Tuscan wine a Made in Italy excellence.🍇 Immersed in the hilly landscapes, the vineyards from here generate prestigious labels such as Chianti and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, and Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Vermentino di Toscana for red and white wines respectively. If you are in Florence, you can taste them in a very authentic style: look for the "buchette del vino", the ancient windows through which you can get a glass of wine by just putting your hand in. The tradition was born around 1500, when aristocratic families began to produce wine and wanted to avoid paying the cut of innkeepers.

Civitacampomarano in Molise is an open-air museum. 🖼️ At every turn, you find yourself face-to-face with one of the many works of the street art project, Cvtà. Designed to combat the depopulation of this small village, these artworks are full of surprises. We advise you to park outside and go inside on foot to visit every single mural.

The white truffle is a rare Italian excellence.😋 It grows by itself underground and it is used to add intense flavour and aroma to many recipes after being uncovered by expert truffle hunters and their dogs. Historic Alba is very famous for them, it is a Piedmontese town in the heart of Langhe surrounded by vineyards and hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with Roero and Monferrato. Do not miss the opportunity to visit its ancient buildings or discover its mysterious underground part. If you want to breathe art, sea breeze and a Central European atmosphere at the same time, Trieste awaits you in the most north-eastern corner of Italy, with all its charm.🎨 Piazza Unità d'Italia will win you over as it overlooks the sea and the Grand Canal comes alive when there is the antique market. Don't forget to stop by the historic cafés in the centre, here the passage of the Hapsburg Empire is still felt even today, and where famous writers like James Joyce, Italo Svevo, and Umberto Saba spent their time in the past.

Small bays of fine sand are hidden among the rocks in the promontory of Capo Vaticano which makes it a paradise for diving enthusiasts.🐚 In this stretch of the Calabrian coast, characterized by white granite cliffs and crystal-clear water, you can also discover canyons and secret caves that you can reach only with expert guides. Palms, prickly pears and heather plants thrive in summer here, adding a touch of color in a magnificent contrast with the deep blue of the sea.
