Happy National Doggie Day!

Seasoned Hands"
This cowboy, my friend, a retired veterinarian and his dog are quite the "Seasoned Hands" Many are the calves and foals that were delivered by these kind hands, as were the the many cattle round -ups and many other chores in which these two make the best team.. These well worn hands and legs are a real testament of hard work and much love.

🍂 Fall officially begins Sept. 22 at 12:19 PM, but Colorado’s high country is already showing color. Drought stress and a stretch of chilly nights in the 40s are pushing leaves to change 5–10 days early this year. Peak foliage is expected mid-September in the northern mountains and wraps up in early October in the San Juans.

By Mike Rosso The Rainbow Trail, which celebrates its 101st birthday this year, could well be seen as an allegory for the various uses and controversies surrounding Colorado forest lands over the past century. At just over 101 miles long, it spans four counties – Saguache, Chaffee, Fremont and

🌌 The Final Planetary Parade of 2025 Is Here! 🚀

From August 17 to 20, 2025, a rare and breathtaking sight awaits — six planets will align across the sky in the last planetary parade of the year.

🔭 Which planets will be visible?
• Mercury – Closest to the horizon and visible briefly before sunrise.
• Venus – The brilliant “Morning Star,” shining brighter than any other planet.

• Jupiter – The giant planet, easily spotted as a bright point of light.
• Saturn – Famous for its rings, best viewed with binoculars or a small telescope.

• Uranus – A faint bluish-green planet, visible with binoculars or a telescope.

• Neptune – The farthest planet, requiring a telescope to see clearly
🌠 Viewing Tips
• Best time: About 45 minutes before sunrise, facing the eastern horizon.

• Location: Choose a dark spot away from city lights with an unobstructed view.

• Equipment: Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn can be seen with the naked eye; Uranus and Neptune need optical aid.

📅 Why You Shouldn’t Miss It
Planetary alignments featuring this many planets are rare. The next opportunity might be years away, so this is your chance to witness an unforgettable celestial display.

✨ For stargazers, this will be one of the most exciting astronomical events of the year — mark your calendars and experience the harmony of our cosmic neighborhood!
