You never know who you’ll meet on a llama trek! 🦙📸

This week we had the pleasure of hosting a National Geographic photographer on one of our treks. While he wasn’t here on assignment for us, it was pretty neat to spend time with someone whose work has helped tell stories from around the world.

The llamas, of course, didn’t care about any of that. They were just happy to have another human to charm, beg treats from, and pose in front of. 😆

We’re grateful for all the interesting people our treks bring together and for the chance to share this beautiful corner of Colorado with visitors from all walks of life.

Happy 9th birthday to our little KK!!

Leading 9 llamas is no problem for her! 🙌🏼 it’s so fun watching her grow up. She is an amazing sweet loving little girl and I’m proud to be her mama!

What an incredible day at our Youth Llama Clinic! 🦙❤️

We had a fantastic group of young llama enthusiasts join us to learn more about handling, showing, and caring for these amazing animals. From haltering and leading to obstacle work and showmanship tips, these kids jumped right in and gave it their all!

One of the best parts of the day was watching confidence grow—both in the youth and in their llamas. Lots of questions were answered, and there were plenty of smiles, laughs, and llama kisses along the way.

A huge thank you to all the families who participated and helped make the clinic such a success. The future of the llama industry is bright with young people like these leading the way!

Shearing season has officially begun! ✂️🦙

We started shearing today and got 7 done already! This is Frosty — and seriously… isn’t she SO cute?! 😍

I love those spur-of-the-moment llama treks that were never even planned 😂

Today I kinda forgot Matt was still in the barn and accidentally let the rest of his herd go without him. When I finally let Matt out, he couldn’t find the others… so off we went on an unexpected 4.1 mile adventure trying to track everybody down 🤦‍♀️😂

Honestly, he did SO good. I’ve never taken him out by himself before — we almost always take at least two llamas on a trek — but he handled it like a champ.

What started as my mistake turned into a really fun adventure for both of us, and honestly one of those treks I’ll probably remember forever ❤️🦙
