Hawai'i Tsunami Update from Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau | Wednesday, July 30, 2025 4:30 AM Pacific Time:

The tsunami warning for Hawaiʻi has been downgraded to a tsunami advisory. This means dangerous tsunami waves are no longer expected to impact the state, but hazardous conditions may persist—including strong currents and localized coastal flooding.

Key Updates:
--Residents and visitors who evacuated may return home at this time. Please use caution and patience, as traffic may remain heavy in some areas.
--Use extreme caution in or near the ocean, as dangerous conditions may continue in near-shore waters throughout the Hawaiian Islands.
--The “all clear” has not yet been issued statewide. Counties are now conducting local assessments and may issue area-specific all-clears as appropriate.
--Travelers to, from, or within Hawai‘i should continue to check with their airlines for the latest flight status and any service impacts.
