Every adoptee deserves the security, dignity, and peace of mind that comes with citizenship.

The Protect Adoptees and American Families Act (PAAF Act) seeks to address a longstanding gap in U.S. law that has left some intercountry adoptees without automatic citizenship protections. For decades, many adoptees have lived with uncertainty through no fault of their own.

Today, I am asking friends, family, colleagues, and fellow advocates to help support the PAAF Act by contacting your U.S. Representatives and Senators and urging them to support and co-sponsor: H.R. 5492 and S. 2923

As a Korean American Adoptee, this issue is deeply personal to me. Citizenship should not depend on the year an adoptee arrived in the United States. Families are forever, and all adoptees deserve the same protections and rights as every other American.

✈️🌖 Today, we share the new look of Bae Moon Travel. Our new logo is more than a design. It reflects a lifelong journey inward to understand who I am with outward searches to find where I belong only to discover ‘home’ was inside me all along… It represents identity, belonging, survival, healing along with the strength to rise.

While many of you know Bae Moon Travel through the playful “Before Anyone Else” — the agency name “Bae Moon” carries a much greater personal significance for me.

“Bae Moon” honors the Korean name I was given at an orphanage in Seoul before being adopted into a German American forever family and raised in rural Kansas. My full Korean name was Bae Moon Sook and creating and continuing to build our agency around this name has been an act of remembrance, reclamation and reconciliation.

Bae Moon Travel is a Korean American brand that stands in solidarity with the Korean Adoptee Community. Our agency’s Korean name also honors the KADs who serve on our team and the 200,000 Korean Adoptees in the world with 150,000 in the United States. 🇺🇸🇰🇷

Founded 3 years ago, Bae Moon Travel’s mission was simple: To help people explore our amazing world with highly-personalized, professional, white glove service. This will not change.

To our families, friends, clients, partners, collaborators and the Korean Adoptee Community that continues to inspire me, thank you! Thank you for your encouragement, trust, support, referrals and business. Bae Moon Travel would not be here without you.
