After the snow clears next week, you may notice the river downtown is a little lower. The City will be lowering the river to allow Dondlinger access to the cylinders at the Lincoln Street Dam so they can be removed and replaced as part of a scheduled rehabilitation process.

River users such as Wichita Rowing and ICT River Rides have been notified. River levels will remain lowered most of this year to accommodate replacement of the First Street bridge, as well.

Hello there peeps hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! All this talk about snow has me wishing for summer time.
Some bummer news but not the end of world. River is supposed to be drained on the 26th of January, for dam maintenance and will most likely be down till April 2027 due to 1st street bridge over river being replaced 😕 bummer but necessary.
We are currently looking and talking to locations for next season and curious if any of you have suggestions or ideas?
Would love to hear want you would possibly like to see from us?🤷‍♂️

Truck is scheduled for work this coming week so no rides.
Probably call it a soft closing for the season!
THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported us this season! If weather permits and truck gets fixed we will try to do pop up rides before next season. Have a great Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!🙏🤙

Well peeps we are down here for maybe 30-45 minutes while waiting for tow truck. If any one is down here can do a couple runs! Having truck issues again stuck on ramp..lol Never had this happen🤣

This is hard to do but can't run rides tonight😞...had some set back with primary work today, but got thru it and need to finish. We will be running tomorrow. It's been too long,
Sunday 4-7 unless temps stay decent then possibly later. 🤙

Well peeps it's a beautiful day out but winds are to high to safely run boat today. Tomorrow looks pretty cold so we'll probably not run tomorrow either but I will let everyone know.

It’s almost time for the Frostbite Regatta — our last race of the fall season! ❄️

Join us this Sunday, November 2nd at the Little Arkansas River (551 N Nims St, Wichita, KS 67203) for a full day of racing. The first race starts around 8 AM and the last one wraps up around 4 PM!

Gumbo will be served for lunch from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Shocker Rowing tent! If you pre-ordered, that’s your pickup window — and if not, we’ll have some available to buy on-site while supplies last.

Come cheer on your Shocks, grab some gumbo, and help us close out the fall season strong! 🌊
