Our hearts are with the families whose lives were forever changed by the tragedy at Stryker Sports Complex.

Sports have a special way of bringing families, friends, and communities together. What should have been a day of joy and connection became one of unimaginable heartbreak. We extend our deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones, and our thoughts are with those injured and everyone affected.

We are grateful to the first responders and community members who stepped in to help during this tragedy.

The Frontiers in Flight Air Show returns to McConnell Air Force Base Oct. 24-25 with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, fighter jets, tankers, vintage aircraft, parachute teams, aerobatic performers and enough aviation hardware to make looking up feel mandatory.

The Wichita Asian Festival returns Oct. 17 for one packed night of food, music, dance, art, vendors and cultural traditions from across Asia.

And yes, the food is a very good reason to go. But between the live performances, scholarship pageant, art and vendors, showing up “just for dinner” may be a little optimistic.
