Competing tonight for Mississippi Miss Hospitality on the beautiful stage in the historic Hattiesburg Saenger Theater with a full house of our #1 fans, I reflect on Southern Miss’ legacy challenge to ‘leave it better than you found it’. I can guarantee you that, after this week, all 42 of us contestants will go home a better more well rounded ambassador for her hometown and Mississippi with more poise, confidence and grace than when she arrived.

🩵 DAY 5 RECAP 🩵

💎Panel Interview- talked with the judges about Mississippi and some things near and dear to me ❤️ I felt really good afterwards!

💎 Rehearsals- lots and lots of rehearsal time today!!! We’ll rehearse with our little misses tomorrow then be ready to take the stage in the evening 😱 We’ve been waiting months for this! Tune in at 8:00 pm on Facebook Live on Mississippi Miss Hospitality’s page if you don’t have tickets 🎟️

💎 Pajama Party 🪩🥳 So much fun with these girls that will be lifelong friends!

Tomorrow morning, we compete in the Mississippi speech competition 🗣️ I’ve worked so hard writing and practicing my speech and am excited to share it!!! It’s really special to me! Then, we’ll be off to the autograph party ✍️ at 1:00 at Turtle Creek Mall. We’ll compete in community commercial and evening gown during the first night of competition 🎤🤍 Whisper a little prayer for calm nerves, confidence, poise and an ability to connect 🙏🏻❤️ Love you all! Thank you to the City of Hattiesburg-Government for sponsoring the 75th annual Mississippi Miss Hospitality competition 🩵💎👑 The Hub City has welcomed us contestants and our families and supporters with open arms! The love we feel is truly unmatched and is a shining example of what true hospitality is in The Hospitality State! Day 4️⃣ started off with our very first interview of the competition. Nothing to be nervous about, right 😉 Turns out that’s right! The judges were so personable and made you feel at ease. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Next, off to rehearsals to get ready for Friday and Saturday. We have worked so, so hard! The show is going to be amazing! After rehearsals, we stopped off at Oh Snap Selfie Boutique for some fun pics and lots of laughs 📸 😜 We ended the day making the cutest hometown trucker hats! Now, to get in the zone for another round of interviews tomorrow! Looking forward to sharing my love of Stone County and Mississippi! Once again, whisper a little prayer for calm nerves, confidence, poise and clear thoughts 🙏🏻❤️ Love you all! Until tomorrow ✌🏻😘

💚 Presenter Spotlight 💚

Thank you to Forrest General Hospital for your sponsorship of the 75th annual Mississippi Miss Hospitality competition! Your contributions to the surrounding communities ensure access to quality care and your generosity makes possible the Mississippi Miss Hospitality scholarship program to promote tourism and economic development across the entire state! We spent the first part of day 3️⃣ volunteering in the Hattiesburg community. We started out at Extra Table packing rice and beans for soup kitchens and food pantries across the state. Fun fact! This is my second time to volunteer with Extra Table! I helped pack food boxes with their March of the Mayors initiative back in March 🍚🫘❤️☺️ Next, we were off to visit a local summer camp with Hattiesburg Parks and Recreation where we spent time with the campers there including helping paint their new mural which was so much fun 🎨🖼️ We ended at Forrest General where we decorated and packed goody bags for patients at the cancer center. While at Forrest General, we heard from Millie Swan, Vice President of Forrest Health as well as Mississippi Miss Hospitality board member, about the importance of seeking opportunities to give back through community service in our own hometowns. It was an extremely rewarding experience serving with my fellow contestants today! But, it definitely was not all work 😉 After rehearsal, we got all dolled up Audrey Hepburn style for a magnificent Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed party 🕶️🩵💎 Mississippi Miss Hospitality outdid themselves! It was decorated beautifully! No late nights tonight, though! First interview is tomorrow! Whisper a little prayer for calm nerves, confidence, poise and clear thoughts 🙏🏻❤️ Love you all! 🦅PRESENTER SPOTLIGHT 🦅

This Golden Eagle is back at her home away from home this week and loving every minute of it! Thank you to The University of Southern Mississippi for so graciously welcoming the 75th annual Mississippi Miss Hospitality contestants to our beautiful campus! Today, we were officially welcomed to the Hub City by Southern Miss and Hattiesburg officials at a press conference at Hattiesburg Saenger Theater which was very exciting! We took a break from rehearsals to explore the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum and then headed back to campus to get ready for a tailgate party at The Rock 🪨🏈📣 Dinner in the President’s Suite made our night! Ended the evening with a super fun and tacky moo moo party snacking on candy salad as every good Southern girl should 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ We’re making friends and memories at Southern Miss with Mississippi Miss Hospitality 🩵💎

Thank you, Visit Hattiesburg, for all of the time and effort that you put into producing the Mississippi Miss Hospitality Competition each year! I know the Diamond Jubilee 💎is going to be an absolutely beautiful show and I’m so proud to be a part of this 75th annual tradition ❤️ Day ☝️was amazing! Moved in with my roomie for the week then off to the Historic Hattiesburg Saenger Theater for rehearsals 💪🏻💃👑 I know this week is going to be a whirlwind experience of a lifetime!!!

One day until check in! TOMORROW IS THE DAY I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR 🙃 I can’t wait to spend this week sharing my love for my county and Mississippi! In honor of competition week, there will be a book drive happening the entire week, July 8th- July 12th, to refill the Free Little Libraries in Stone County!📚 They were running low last I filled them and I am completely out of books 😮 I love nothing more than serving the citizens of Stone County, so what better way to celebrate this big week than helping out the community! Please drop off the books you’d like to donate at the Economic Development Partnership located in the Historic Train Depot at 115 E Hatten Ave in Wiggins. I look forward to refilling the Free Little Libraries next week when I’m home! Thank you all for your support! See you in a week 😘

Hey, y’all! It’s Mississippi Monday again!💚🌲🏠 Did you know that Stone County is officially known as the Mural County of Mississippi declared by the Mississippi Legislature in 2012? SO COOL, RIGHT?! Our murals celebrate Stone County’s rich history and heritage through artistic expression and visual storytelling. Located throughout Stone County, you’ll notice beautiful painted and mosaic murals that tell Stone County’s story such as Sunset Through the Longleaf Pines mosaic honoring the forests of Stone County which is the industry at the center of our economic development. This is one of my favorites! Our murals are located all across the county such as in Blaylock Park, all county schools, both county libraries, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, and the Dizzy Dean rest area just to name a few! Fun Fact: Stone County’s brand new tourism logo is inspired by our mosaic murals and our designation as the Mural County of Mississippi 🤩🖼️

Did you know that Stone County Library hosts varied activities each week? Little Miss Hospitality Presley Kay and I had the best time last week when they hosted a fun space lab science experiments event! 🪐🔭🚀👩‍🚀 The library is such a great resource in our community! They host a variety of community and educational events every single week from clubs to crafts to storytelling and reading programs, not to mention free lunches for children 18 and under all summer long!
