Annual trip from Oklahoma to the White Rock Mountain Recreation Area. Stayed in The Lodge cabin this year. The cabins were built in the early 30s by the W.P.A. This is one of the most remote camping areas in the Oklahoma/Arkansas area that also has cabins. If you haven't been, the views are spectacular.

Robbers Cave State Park this weekend. Traditional cold weather family cabin camping we do this time of year except it was summer in December.

Claremore Mountain Bike Trails on a beautiful sunny December day. The trails in this area are extensive. Great place to bike or hike. Crystal clear streams. Elevation. Great trail system in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Osage Park Recreation Area at Skiatook Lake. Grabbed a cup of coffee in Skiatook this morning took a drive and found this jewel. Boy Scouts Troop 89 in Skiatook have developed a couple of well maintained hiking trails. Nice work boys.

Sequoyah State Park family camping weekend. On Lake Ft. Gibson. The Creek primitive camping area. Lots of hiking trails, nature center. Saw nesting bald eagles. Side-note, cleanest, most spotless, climate controlled bathrooms, and showers you could ever ask for. .

There's a lot going on at Johnstone Park in Bartlesville since it's 1903 beginning. The Caney River wraps around the park. There is a put in spot for your kayak. You can kayak north to Copan Lake from there. The park has a great Kiddie ride park. With a train ride that incorporates the restored Hulah train depot. There's also historic restored way well oil well equipment. The Nellie Johnstone #1 that dates back to 1897.
