Stay at one of our highly rated RV Campsites along your way to the Outer Banks. Spend the night, kayak with friends, or just have a picnic along the beautiful Roanoke River. If you'd rather be a spectator, you can do that here, too! Catch an exciting bull riding or barrel racing event or one of the many other featured events at Senator Bob Martin Eastern Agricultural Center. Create your own history tour through our charming towns and rural back-roads or spend a weekend going back in time at our Fort Branch Civil War Reenactment each November. Photograph colorful birds or a field of fluffy white cotton. Our beautiful new Martin County Arts Center is already hosting events like the North Carolina Watercolor Society's Eastern Region Show as well as well as national programs with musicians, craftsmen, and visual artists. These are just a few of the exciting things to do while exploring Martin County. Change your surroundings, change your perspective. This month, we're highlighting just a few of the people who help make Martin County feel like home! Each story offers a look at the experiences, connections, and community spirit that continue to shape our corner of eastern North Carolina.

Our next feature is Angela Bell, Executive Secretary of the E.J. Hayes Alumni Association and a proud graduate of E.J. Hayes High School. Through her work with the Alumni Association, Angela helps preserve the legacy of a historic institution that has shaped generations of Martin County residents while continuing to strengthen community connections today.

People Make the Place: Faces of Martin County ✨

This month, we’re highlighting just a few of the people who help make Martin County feel like home! Each story offers a look at the experiences, connections, and community spirit that continue to shape our corner of eastern North Carolina.

Our first feature is Dr. Steven Manning - Williamston native, founder of AccessMedicine, and a familiar face to many across Martin County. After completing medical school and residency at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine, Dr. Manning returned home to serve the community that raised him and continues to invest in the people of eastern North Carolina through his work and leadership. • Inspiration for a Patient-Focused Approach - Dr. Manning launched AccessMedicine, built on Affordability, High Quality, Transparency, Access & Time.
