Town officials met today with the CT DOT consultant (VHB) and the town's consultant (Weston & Sampson) for an Assignment Meeting. The site walk is one of the first steps for moving forward with the Airline Trail Bridge and Resurfacing Project that will span Rout 203 in North Windham. The grant, procured by the Windham Department of Economic and Community Development, totals $4.5 million. When finished, the final product will closely resemble the Route 44 Airline Trail Bridge in Pomfret (pictured here).

Congressman Joe Courtney visited the Access Community Action Agency to take a tour of their food pantry. After, he met with caseworkers to discuss the challenges facing programs like SNAP and other low income and poverty initiatives given current policy changes in Washington.

The largest parade of its kind in the world returned for the 40th year in Willimantic Today.

Congratulations to Willimantic Brewing Company for pulling off another amazing Thread City Hop Fest...! Kudos to and his team for all of their hard work. A fun time was had by all, including the army of volunteers from the non-profit organizations that were charitable beneficiaries of the event. Thanks also, to Lourdes Rodriguez for her stellar work behind the camera..!

Congratulations to Tony's Pizza for garnering the Number 7 spot in the statewide contest for Connecticut's Top 20 Pizzerias..! The full trail map should be released soon- who else do you think will make the map?

News 8 and the Connecticut Office of Tourism are partnering to announce the winner of the Pizza Capital Trail as voted on by fans and critics.

Tuesday, May 20 at 7:00 PM

Burton Leavitt Theatre

Audition will include vocal, dance/movement, and acting.

Prepare a 90 second musical selection for the vocal audition. Bring sheet music. Piano accompaniment will be provided.

Readings from the script will be provided. Dress appropriately for dance/movement activities.

Casting Requirements:
3 Adult Roles - 2 Male identifying, 1 Female Identifying (18 years and older)
14 Teen Roles - 7 male identifying, 7 Female Identifying (15 years and older)
Teen Presenting 20+Adults encouraged to audition!
