✈️ HELLO, NOVEMBER! 🍂🌎

A new month means a new round of adventures for Coastal Connections by Boardwalk travelers!

November is a little quieter than some of our recent months, and I'm not going to complain about having a chance to catch my breath. 😂

But we've still got clients heading to some pretty great places!

From tropical beaches and cruises to sightseeing and holiday festivities, I love how different everyone's vacations can be.

One of my favorite parts of this business is helping people plan trips that fit THEIR idea of a great getaway.

And while November may be a little slower, we're already working on some pretty incredible adventures for 2027 and 2028! ❤️

Medieval castles, mountain scenery and a little Dracula history

Cozy inns, beautiful fall scenery, c***r donuts and absolutely NO scary stuff 😂

Because the only thing I want to be scared of is running out of margaritas

✈️ WHAT DOES A TRAVEL ADVISOR ACTUALLY DO?

I think sometimes people assume that when they book a vacation with me, I just find a resort or cruise, enter their credit card information and send them a confirmation. 😂

And while I WISH it were always that simple...

There's a whole lot happening behind the scenes!

🚢 Checking cruise cabin locations so you're not directly underneath the pool deck

🏨 Researching hotels to make sure they're actually in a good location

✈️ Comparing flight schedules, connections and baggage policies

🚐 Coordinating transportation so you're not standing at an airport wondering how to get to your resort

🌎 Researching destinations, excursions and experiences that fit your travel style

📞 Working with suppliers when something doesn't go according to plan

💰 Looking for promotions, added amenities and ways to get the most value from your vacation budget

And that's just part of it!

I've spent over 20 years in nursing, and one thing that career taught me is that the little details matter.

That carries over into how I plan travel, too. ❤️

I don't want to just BOOK your vacation.

I want to help you have the kind of experience you'll be talking about for years.

🌴 JUST BECAUSE A RESORT HAS FIVE STARS DOESN'T MEAN IT'S THE RIGHT RESORT FOR YOU.

One of the biggest misconceptions about planning a vacation is that the highest-rated resort must automatically be the best choice.

Not necessarily. 👀

I've seen beautiful resorts that would be absolutely perfect for one client and completely wrong for another.

Here's why...

🏖️ Some have gorgeous pools but disappointing beaches

🍽️ Some are known for incredible food while others focus more on activities and entertainment

❤️ Some are perfect for couples wanting peace and quiet

🎉 Others are better for people who want a lively atmosphere

🚐 Some are an easy 15-minute ride from the airport while others require a much longer transfer

And sometimes the resort that costs $1,000 less is actually the one you're going to enjoy MORE.

That's why I ask so many questions before recommending a resort. 😂

I'm not just trying to find you somewhere pretty to sleep.

I'm trying to find somewhere that fits how YOU actually want to spend your vacation.

Because the best resort isn't necessarily the most expensive one.

It's the one that's right for you. ❤️

✈️ WHAT’S ONE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD DO AT LEAST ONCE?

🚢 Waking up in a new country on a cruise

🍷 Drinking w**e in the Italian countryside

🌌 Seeing the Northern Lights

🚂 Taking a scenic train through the mountains

🏝️ Staying somewhere with water so clear you can’t believe it’s real

🏰 Walking through a place you’ve read about in history books

🌅 Or simply watching the sun come up somewhere very far from home

Travel has a funny way of giving you moments that stick with you LONG after you’ve forgotten what the hotel room looked like.

💰 LET’S TALK VACATION BUDGETS.

One of the first questions I ask when I’m helping someone plan a trip is their budget.

And I promise...I’m not asking so I can judge how much you want to spend. 😂

I’m asking because I don’t want to show you a $15,000 vacation when you want to spend $6,000.

And I REALLY don’t want to spend hours planning a $6,000 trip if you were perfectly comfortable spending $10,000 for something you’d love more.

Your budget helps me figure out where we should look, how long you should stay, what type of accommodations make sense and where your money is going to matter most.

And two people can have the exact same budget and want COMPLETELY different vacations.

One might say...

🏨 Give me the gorgeous hotel.

Another says...

✈️ I’d rather spend it on business class.

Someone else wants...

🍽️ Amazing food and experiences.

And another person says...

🌴 Put me on a beautiful beach and I’m perfectly happy in the least expensive room. 😂

There isn’t a “right” vacation budget.

It’s about spending YOUR travel budget on the things that matter most to YOU.

🌎 WHAT DESTINATION SURPRISED YOU THE MOST?

You know those places you visit thinking, “This should be fun”...

And then you get there and think...

WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME IT WAS THIS GOOD?! 😂

Maybe it was somewhere you never had on your bucket list.

Maybe you went because someone else wanted to go.

Maybe it was a cruise port you expected absolutely nothing from and ended up LOVING.

Or maybe you thought a destination was going to be completely overrated...and it proved you very wrong. 😍

Those are some of my favorite travel experiences because sometimes the places you least expect end up being the ones you talk about for YEARS.

🌴 WHAT MAKES A RESORT WORTH GOING BACK TO?

There are SO many beautiful resorts out there.

But every once in a while, you stay somewhere that makes you think...

“Yep. I’d come back here.” 😍
