Remember that terrifying tunnel escape beneath London, in 28 Weeks Later? Turns out, it’s REAL.

The Greenwich Foot Tunnel runs directly underneath the River Thames, connecting the Isle of Dogs to Greenwich. You can walk the same escape route from the movie today!

And here’s the crazy part… the tunnel was ACTUALLY bombed during WWII, decades before the movie was made. You can still see where it was repaired!

Same tunnel. Same escape route. No infected. Hopefully.

Whatever happened to the Deathmobile from Animal House?

The original met a very Animal House fate… but the story didn’t end there.

I went back to Cottage Grove, Oregon—where the legendary parade scene was filmed—to find out what happened to one of the most gloriously ridiculous movie cars ever built.

And yes… you can still see a Deathmobile today.

I went looking for a horror movie location. I found a piece of it still alive.

This is Priddy’s General Store in North Carolina — the real-life location used as the country store in Cabin Fever.

More than 20 years later, it’s still a working general store, and there are little pieces of the movie’s history tucked inside.

That’s what I love about finding filming locations. Sometimes the movie set disappears when filming ends. Sometimes it just goes back to being a real place — and waits for you to show up.

Twilight takes place in Forks, Washington… but none of it was filmed there.

I went looking for the real-world location of Bella and Edward’s high school. Turns out, the real Twilight country is mostly across Oregon and southwest Washington.

And yes… some of these places still look remarkably familiar 18 years later.

In 1958, The Blob came oozing out of a movie theater.

That theater is still here.

The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania played itself in one of the most iconic scenes from The Blob, as moviegoers came pouring out the doors trying to escape the creature.

Nearly 70 years later, you can still walk up to those same doors and stand where Steve McQueen did.

Some movie locations disappear. Some barely change.

And some still celebrate the movie that made them famous every year.

We went looking for a supposedly closed Animal House filming location… and found out it’s coming back to life. Almost 50 years later, the real Dexter Lake Club is still here—with pieces of the movie still hiding in plain sight. And wait until you hear where John Belushi supposedly was while they filmed this scene… 👀

100 years later! This is where the train crashed.

In 1926, Buster Keaton came to Oregon to make The General creating one of the most ambitious films of the silent era, including one of the most famous (and expensive) shots in movie history.

A century later, we went back to the places where Keaton and his crew actually stood, filmed, crashed locomotives and made movie history.

There’s something pretty incredible about watching a 100-year-old scene… while standing in the exact place where it happened.

One of the most emotionally charged moments in Twilight unfolds here.

Filmed at The Shire near Fir Point along the Columbia River, this location sits just across from Multnomah Falls, yet remains surprisingly difficult to access. The rugged peninsula, surrounded by water and dense forest, creates the moody, isolated atmosphere that defines this scene between Bella and Edward.

Beyond the film, the area carries deeper cultural history. Fir Point was traditionally used for a springtime ceremony known as “uncradling,” where Indigenous mothers placed infant cradles in the landscape as a way to protect their children from harm throughout life.
