Out and about on this first day of October and though it is cooler and gray, we are still rocking shorts and flops. Others are dressed in jeans and sweaters, probably thinking we are nuts. But you know, we are from Idaho and 64* is still pretty warm.

We got into Track 4! So happy!
Getting adjusted to the new normal. Today's subject is SCHOOL:
* year-round, 4 tracks - 45 days in, 15 days out
* tracks 1 & 4 highly desirable
* just found out TODAY that the kids were assigned to track 4, which starts on July 27th instead of tomorrow, like winning the lottery
Spent the weekend preparing for the possibility of the first day of school on Tuesday for Conner in 7th and Lily in 5th (what?!). Breathing sigh of relief that we have a bit longer.
In any case, it will be very different starting school in the middle of summer. We do love the schedule though - 5 weeks off around Christmas and 3 weeks off at Easter. Plus, 3 weeks in October - guess I will be scheduling the Fall/Winter JBF sale.
Life has not been the easiest recently, very happy something went our way. New education chapter in GREAT schools. Yippee!

The City Museum in St. Louis. One of our favorite stops on our road trip. AMAZING! Kids ask all the time if we can go back, which we definitely will do someday. Best recommendation ever from Aunt Rose.

Housed in the former home of the 10-story International Shoe Company, the sprawling 600,000 square-foot City Museum in St. Louis is quite possibly the ultimate urban playground ever constructed. The museum is the brainchild of artist and sculptor Bob Cassilly who opened the space in 1997 after yea
