When you arrive at your Disneyland or Walt Disney World vacation, you’ll notice a plethora of people wearing pins. Pins that say: “Just Married”, “I’m Celebrating”, “Happy Birthday” or “1st Time Visit”. You can get these from your resort and various shops in the park. You might think they look crazy, but you surprisingly can get some perks from them!

Cast Members are God’s gift to earth- you can’t convince me otherwise. They’ll go out of their way to talk to you about your pin. Wish you a happy birthday, talk to you about what you’re celebrating- congratulate you, wish you a happy marriage, welcome you to Disney and thank you for visiting. We’ve had free desserts, a comped meal, stickers, complimentary lightning lane passes added to our MagicBand- all because of our pins.

It’s impossible to look ridiculous in Disney- don’t try to be too cool for the pins. They’re beneficial & a lot of fun!

By booking your vacation with me, I’ll take a nose dive into details on how to manage Virtual Queue & Lightning Lane, and teach you to have the confidence navigating it through your My Disney Experience app. I’ll share tips & tricks I’ve learned along the way and mistakes I’ll never make again.

PRO TIP: If your “boarding group” for your Virtual Queue is called while you’re at your dining reservation, fear not and DON’T RUSH OUT OF THERE. Take your time, enjoy your meal, and hold on to your receipt. Show the Cast Member working the Lightning Lane Queue at your designated attraction and they’ll let you hop right on.

Story time: This week, I had a friend call me regarding her upcoming trip to Walt Disney World in April. I’m not her travel planner. We were discussing random things like strollers. We started talking about her resort: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (a deluxe resort) with a savanna view. I laughed about how great the discounts are right now and that I hoped she took advantage of it. She mentioned that she hasn’t. I took a look at her reservation and saw that she was spending $719 a night for her savanna view; however, at this particular resort, she qualifies for 30% off her room. By adding this discount, it reduced her nightly cost to $503. For her 5 night stay, 4 day park hopper, this discount saved her $1,465. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼$1,465👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

If Walt Disney World has been on your radar, you’ve probably realized that it can be a little (okay, a lot) overwhelming to get started. I had a client tell me the other day she pushed off this trip last year because she felt too lost to even begin. Those words are like nails on a chalkboard for me because I want to help!!

I’m here to give you my 5 tips for planning a great trip.

1. Start sooner than you think. Disney rewards people for booking early. Think supply & demand. Rooms fill up, cost go up. Don’t wait to book. If Disney runs a promotion down the line, I’ll be the first to reach out to have that applied to your total (last year, I saved my Mom & my family over $1,000 on our room).

2. Start reviewing Dining options. One of the most underrated items in Disney World is the FOOD. And it’s GOOD. Know where to go to get the biggest bang for your buck and don’t end up eating chicken strips every meal.

3. After we book your room, start getting familiar with the My Disney Experience app. This is where you can mobile order food, book Lightning Lanes, and about 9,000 other things.

4. Learn about your transportation options around your chosen hotel. Y’all, Disney World is HUGE! It operates as its own city. Some resorts offer boats, monorail, and skyliner. All resorts offer complimentary bus transportation to and from the parks.

5. Trust yourself, and your planner. There’s a lot of advice, but remember you know your family best. Express your wants and needs - trust that I value you & your vacation needs. Sit tight knowing your best vacation awaits.
