What an amazing festival! As usual Greg and Susan were amazing hosts. This year the weather cooperated and all activities went off as planned! How exciting to be able to fly the last day of 2024 and the first of 2025! As with so many balloon events we met amazing people that I am hoping to stay in touch with and reconnected with many balloon family! I am wishing everyone a very happy and prosperous 2025! Many will base their prosperity on how much money they have or the things they have. I choose to measure my prosperity with time spent with family and friends doing what I love so in my world 2025 is off to a great start!!

I have been fascinated with hot air balloons all of my life I was able to take my first ride in 2018 and became obsessed with becoming a pilot. I got my private license in 2020 and my commercial in 2022. I love helping people check “hot air balloon ride” off their bucket lists.
In my normal life, I am a Division Order Analyst working for an amazing company that processes tax titles and revenue for multiple oil and gas purchasers. I have three grown children and 3 amazing granddaughters.

I finally got to fly yesterday. My passenger had wanted to fly since she was 6 years old but never had the chance until now! 2 or three weather cancellations but we made it happen and had an amazing flight!

4years ago the journey was still in the early stages. It was so much fun and such a good challenge 6 months later I held the private pilot certificate. Now here we are 4 years later I have my commercial certificate and have my beautiful new system and love sharing this experience with anyone that will let me! This has been one of the most amazing and challenging adventures.

It is hard to believe only 4 years ago I took my first hot air balloon ride. I had always been fascinated by them but my life just didn’t allow me the time. My mom died from Alzheimer’s in June 2018 so on her birthday July 31, 2018 I took my first ride and was definitely hooked. In the past 4 years I have studied and flown and learned from so many wonderful people in my balloon family and have gotten my commercial certification. If you take nothing else from this post please take note that it is never too late to follow your dreams and achieve them a little at a time! Happy Birthday mom! I am thankful that the memories of Alzheimer’s are fading and the memories of the amazing mom you were are back. Cheers to you! I’m so happy we got to fly on your birthday Mom. PC:
