🎶 September sounds a little different in Winfield.

The 54th Walnut Valley Festival returns September 16–20, bringing musicians and music lovers from around the country back to Winfield for one of our favorite traditions of the year.

But around here, we don't wait until Festival gates open to start the music.

🪕 September 11-14 – Pattons Pickin' Parlor - A 'Bone'afied Good Time
Kick off the weekend with live music and get into the Festival spirit early.

🎸 September 12 – Bluegrass & BBQ with Barry at Patton's Pickin' Parlor
More live music, good food and another reason to spend the weekend in Winfield.

Enjoy a FREE day of music from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at Baden Square, featuring a lineup of talented musicians and a taste of what's coming at Festival.

Then head downtown from 5:30–8:30 p.m. as Main Street comes alive with musicians performing throughout downtown. Grab dinner, bring a lawn chair and wander from stop to stop.

Then it's time for the main event. Five days of world-class acoustic music, legendary instrument contests, campground jams and the unmistakable atmosphere that has made September in Winfield special for more than half a century.

Winfield welcomed Bike Across Kansas to town today! Hundreds of riders flocked to Island Park for Lions Club pork burgers, Soroptimists Of Winfield baked treats, and music by Clayton Crawford!
