I usually try to keep my personal and business pages separate, but this one hits hard and I feel like you deserve to know why it’s been so quiet on here lately.

Yesterday we said goodbye to our sweet boy Obi after 14 years of getting to love him and be his dads. It was so hard, but we were with him to the very end and he had a beautiful and peaceful transition, surrounded by all his favorite people.

And today… I step on a plane to Norway for the next two weeks. This trip will be different from any I’ve taken before, because I’ll be smack dab in the middle of my grief, so if there aren’t as many updates - that’s why.

As you can see though, I’ve got Obi’s collar here with me, and I’m looking forward to hearing its familiar jingle as I hike my way through Norway’s mountains with

Fall Travel Roundup! We’ve got clients heading all over next month, but the highlight destinations are:

I’m heading to Norway in a couple of weeks to see what all the buzz is about, and in preparation I’m learning so much about this cool Scandinavian country!

1. The World Happiness report consistently ranks Norway as one of the happiest countries in the world. And bonus, the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony is held annually in Oslo. 🏆
2. If you head North to Tromsø during June, you’ll find that the sun never sets! Pro tip: bring an eye mask if you head there around the summer solstice. ☀️
3. Oslo has eliminated almost all private vehicles from its downtown city center, instead choosing to prioritize bike paths and pedestrianized zones. 🚴
4. Sauna culture in Norway is serious business - just about every city, town, and village has at least one community sauna, oftentimes set right on top of a fjord so you can jump in to cool off. 🧖
5. The north of Norway sits right in the Aurora Zone, making it an excellent place to catch the Northern Lights. 👀
