Help us decide where Walksy goes next!

We’re adding new cities to Walksy all the time, and rather than choosing all of them ourselves, we thought we’d ask the people who actually use it.

Where would YOU like to see a Walksy tour next?

Maybe it’s somewhere you’re traveling soon. A city you’ve always wanted to explore. Your hometown. Or a place you’ve visited that has incredible stories just waiting to be discovered.

We’ve just added Walksy tours in Australia, New Zealand and Malta — including one in Mdina, one of my favorite cities I’ve ever visited.

My husband and I visited Mdina in January 2020.

It was wonderfully quiet… definitely not peak tourist season. Knowing we wouldn’t find a walking tour while we were there, I l started planning.

I researched the history. Figured out what we should see. Mapped out our route. Printed pages of notes. And when we arrived, I became our tour guide.

It worked. And we had a fantastic day.

But I also remember standing in this extraordinary medieval city, bundled up against the January weather, fumbling with pages of notes in my gloves and trying to find the right information for the landmark in front of us.

And thinking:

There has to be a better way!

Mdina wasn’t the moment that created Walksy. There were actually lots of moments like this over years of traveling.

So there’s something pretty wonderful about knowing that today, someone can arrive in Mdina, open Walksy and simply start exploring.

And Mdina is now just one of 250 Walksy tours across 51 countries.

We’ve also added a live, interactive map to the Walksy website, making it easy to explore where Walksy can take you and preview tours around the world.

This has me wondering:

When you travel, how do you learn about the place you’re visiting?

Do you research before you go? Google things as you walk? Book a guide? Ask locals? Or mostly wander and see what you discover?

I’d love to know.

A lot is happening at Walksy! 🌎

We’ve now grown to 247+ self-guided walking tours across 48 countries, giving travelers more ways to explore, discover, and experience the stories behind the places they visit.

We’ve also recently partnered with Stay22 , making it easier for travelers to go from discovering where they want to explore to planning a stay nearby.

And next up is something I’m especially excited about… the Walksy Tour Creator.

Soon, destinations, universities, local experts, tour guides, and other storytellers will be able to create their own professional, multilingual, GPS-guided audio tours using the powerful AI-assisted tools we’ve built into Walksy Tour Creator. From selecting stops to developing a route to creating narration and bringing a tour to life in 75+ languages, our platform makes a complex process remarkably simple.

For small tourism teams in particular, I think this opens up some really exciting possibilities. A destination shouldn’t need a huge staff or budget to create a great visitor experience.

There’s still so much we want to build, but it’s exciting to see how far Walksy has come.

After months and months of trying to get into both the Apple and Google Play Store, I’m so happy to announce that we’re in both app stores and Walksy is available to download today!!

I would love it if you download it and leave a review in the App Store. I spent many hours designing it💗 We have tours all over the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe and adding tours to South America.
