Where Two Rivers Meet

For more than 2,000 years, Koblenz has stood at a remarkable crossroads—where the Moselle meets the Rhine. The Romans called this place Confluentes, meaning “the confluence,” and from that ancient name came Koblenz. At the famous Deutsches Eck, or “German Corner,” two rivers that have traveled hundreds of miles finally come together and continue as one.
