The holiday season in the Methow Valley is Norman Rockwell personified.

On the Saturday night after Thanksgiving, Winthrop will switch on holiday lights at 5 p.m., complete with fireworks at 6 p.m.

The street will be closed and there will be burn barrels to keep warm all around. You’ll hear carolers and see Santa Claus riding with visitors in a horse drawn wagon or sleigh (depending on snow conditions). There’s even a refrigerated outdoor ice skating rink.

Come visit us and enjoy an old fashioned holiday weekend all while making present day memories.

Thanksgiving in the Methow Valley is magical....it is Norman Rockwell personified.

The air is cold and crispy. Inside there are lights and warmth. On the Saturday night after Thanksgiving the town lights up at 5 pm....and at 6 pm there are fireworks.

The street is closed, with burn barrels to keep warm around. There are carolers, and there is Santa Claus riding with visitors either in a horse drawn wagon or sleigh (depending on snow conditions).

We have a refrigerated outdoor ice skating rink. Great time to come and visit and enjoy an old fashioned holiday weekend and make present day memories.
